We collect only the minimal data necessary to provide accountability features between you and your partner:

• Account Information: Your user ID, optional display name, and unique partner pairing tokens.
• Pairing & Session Status: Information about active shield sessions, pairing status, and partner connection events so your accountability partner receives real-time updates.
• App Telemetry & Crash Logs: Anonymous crash diagnostic information used solely to resolve bugs and performance issues.

2. Apple ScreenTime & ManagedSettings Framework

Caught utilizes Apple’s native FamilyControls and ManagedSettings frameworks to shield apps on your iOS device:

• Local Processing: The specific apps, categories, or websites you choose to shield stay strictly on your Apple device.
• No Personal App Usage Tracking: We do NOT read, transmit, store, or sell the specific websites you visit or the private contents of your messages within shielded applications.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Establish and maintain real-time partner pairing connections.
• Notify your partner when shield sessions are started, paused, or altered.
• Manage subscription entitlements and in-app purchases via RevenueCat / Apple App Store.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We utilize trusted infrastructure providers strictly for core functionality:

• Google Firebase: Used for secure cloud authentication, database sync, and push notifications.
• RevenueCat & Apple App Store: Used to process subscriptions securely without storing raw credit card details.

5. Security & Retention

We implement industry-standard encryption standards (TLS/SSL in transit and AES-256 at rest) to safeguard your account. Data is retained only for as long as your account remains active.

6. Account & Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. You can disconnect your partner or delete your account directly inside the Caught app settings menu.
